How to Create a Sacred Space to Connect with Angels and Deceased Loved Ones

Some spaces are more conducive to receiving messages than others. And, there are simple things you can do to make your meditative space better able to support your psychic and spiritual work. But, fundamentally, it all comes down to creating a wonderful, peaceful feeling in the room.

Feng Shui, the ancient Asian set of guidelines to creating a harmonious space, emphasizes de-cluttering as the best way to encourage the flow of cosmic energy. Begin with removing anything and everything extra from your meditation area. Surfaces should be mostly clear, except perhaps a sacred object, stone, or trickling fountain.

Remove clocks and television sets from your line of sight; the only electronics appropriate are ones that create peaceful, soothing music, or lighting.

You may also want to include one or more green, thriving plants so that there is living energy in the room.

Turn your attention to the walls, and be sure that all posters and pictures put you in a very peaceful state of mind.

I love using scents when I meditate, especially frankincense and myrrh oil or beautifully scented candles. It doesn’t matter what the fragrance is, just as long as it relaxes you and makes you feel good.

What color speaks to you? Lavender is one of my favorites for promoting a sense of peace and heightened senses. But yours may be green, blue, pink, or any other color.

Now, can you reach your meditation area easily? Or are you stepping around (or over!) certain objects or pieces of furniture. You want to clear the path to your area to encourage a clear mind.

When you create a sacred space, you will be raising the energy in the room to a higher vibration that will be more on par with the higher energy of the angels and deceased loved ones. This, in turn, will help to increase your ability to connect with these wonderful celestial beings of light!

Angel blessings to you!
