A Prayer for Compassion and Courage

Divine Source of All Love,

Help us to remember that compassion is not weakness, but strength guided by the heart.

Teach us to extend kindness not only to others, but also to ourselves — especially in moments when we forget our own worth or grow weary from carrying too much.

May we have the courage to speak up when love calls us to do so.

Give us the wisdom to defend those who are mistreated, unheard, forgotten, or harmed — whether human, animal, or the beautiful Earth itself.

And help us also to honor our own needs, our own feelings, and the sacred light within us, knowing that caring for ourselves allows us to better care for the world.

May we treat all living beings with gentleness and respect.

May we recognize our connection to every creature, every tree, every ocean, every breath of life upon this planet.

Let us walk more softly upon the Earth and become instruments of healing rather than harm.

When anger or judgment arises within us, help us respond with awareness and compassion instead of hatred.

Remind us that every loving thought, every peaceful action, and every courageous voice creates ripples that reach farther than we may ever know.

May we honor the Divine within one another and within ourselves.

May we remember that love grows stronger each time it is chosen.

And may our lives become reflections of compassion in action — bringing comfort where there is pain, hope where there is fear, and peace where there is division.

And so it is.
